Welcome to the pages of WOLF Blade

WOLF Blade, specialist for high quality and handmade Samurai swords, especially Katana. All blades are made of multiple folded Damascus steel and are crafted by Japanese masters according to ancient tradition. They are unrivalled masterpieces. Most supposedly Japanese swordsthat are offered cheaply on the Internet are usually imitations and are industrially manufactured from stainless steel only and not hand-forged. You can't buy a hand-forged master sword made from Damascus steel in the old tradition for a few hundred dollars, it's not possible and it should be understandable. You can read about the time-consuming process of forging a real katana under Worth knowing, then you will understand.

Please take note of the following information before making your purchase!

My name is Evelyn Nangan Wolf, I am the Managing Director of WOLF Blade. We, the company WOLF Blade, are a German - Japanese company based in the Philippines. The reasons for locating the company are simple: the Philippines is a cleaner and healthier location due to the lack of industry. We are therefore also independent of the political and economic fluctuations that are currently taking place worldwide and yet still close to our master blacksmiths.
Another major advantage of our location in the Philippines is that there are no sales taxes. No matter in which country the customer is located. We therefore do not charge sales tax.

Please note the terms of payment:

Our swords are hand-forged masterpieces with razor-sharp edges. Therefore, there is a legal requirement that these weapons may not be purchased with payment cards (credit card, Mastercard, etc.) and not via payment systems such as Paypal, etc. The purchase may only be made with a bank transfer.
The purchase is only possible with a bank transfer from account to account or via Western Union, which is practically the same. It is about security, because it must be clearly traceable who the buyer is. We are also accountable for this. If you can pay for swords on the Internet by credit card, for example, then you can assume that they are merely replicas. The transfer options are indicated in the order process.
Customers from Europe can and should only choose to pay via Western Union because Europe has separated itself from the international banking system with the so-called SEPA system and a bank transfer from Europe often takes several weeks and is extremely expensive. The transfer options and bank details are shown in the order process. You can pay in several currencies.
We wish you a pleasant shopping experience in our shop.

We would like to emphasise once again the difference between simple and cheap katanas and truly hand-forged katanas. This graphic shows the different hardnesses of the metal. The cutting edge of the blade is very hard. This edge is surrounded by softer metal to keep the blade elastic and still forge the edge very hard and sharp. These different hardnesses can be seen on the blade.
In contrast, in the pictures above, on the left you can see a blade made of plain steel, next to it you can see blades that are also made of plain steel with a structure painted on to imitate the Damascus effect. On the far right are our blades, which are correctly forged. The difference is clear. It is impossible to get a correctly forged katana for a few hundred dollars! That should make sense.

Further information on how to distinguish a genuine katana from a cheap copy can be found here.

Many people want to own a katana, but a real one. Anyone who opts for a cheap replica is choosing a fake. But a fake is always a fake. If you wear a fake BOGGI MILANO suit, for example, which has been cheaply copied in China, you are making a fool of yourself. Incidentally, the hardness, sharpness and durability of a genuine, hand-forged Japanese master sword cannot be beaten. It therefore also has a real increase in value.

You can find detailed information about the special art of katata forging on the left under Worth knowing.

WOLF-Blade test result:

Our swords have been tested by experienced Japanese swordsmen and found to be very good.
